Welcome to the homepage of the Breffni 3 Province Challenge.
This coming year will mark the 25th Anniversary of this amazing event, and the challenge will take place on Saturday August 1 2026. The Challenge allows participants to choose from 7 different courses bringing them through the 3 Provinces of Ulster, Connaught and Leinster.
No other race event in Ireland offers such a range of courses on a single day, this is definitely a unique and special challenge to take part in.
Funds raised will be donated to The Friends of St Luke's Dublin, National Breast Cancer Research Institute, Galway and the Cavan/Monaghan Cancer Homecare Association . To date the event has already raised over €1 million for cancer organisations!
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the events and to the amazing volunteers who made it all come together, creating a fantastic day for all. We look forward to repeating and building on the successes of 2025 and all the previous years.

ECO-FRIENDLY AIMS
This year we hope to reduce the amount of single-use plastics used during the challenge to make the event more eco-friendly. Water stations will have paper cups of water. We will not run our usual barbecue on the main square as this element produced a lot of waste. There will be sandwiches and beverages available as usual and buffet food will be available in the hotel. Participants can help by not using single-use plastics on the day and taking their waste away with them.
